Configuring for HSD

Set OWNER Level

1.  Enter function 12 - Set User Level by pressing the <FUNC> key, followed by <1>, <2>.

2. Press the <ENTER> key twice followed by <4> to set OWNER level.

4. Key in the current password for this level (the default password for this level is <1>, <2>, <3>, <4>, <5>, <6>)

5. Press the <ENTER> key. The terminal is now set to OWNER LEVEL. 

6. Revert back to idle by pressing the <ESC> key three times.   

Configure for HSD

1.     Select the “CONFIGURE PORTS” function by pressing the <FUNC> key, followed by <7>, <0>.

2.    Use the up and down arrow keys to select the “DTE” option by pressing the <ENTER> key, followed by <LIST>.

3.    If the screen shows “DTE HSD”, press the <ESC> key three times and move to ‘Configure Routing
4.    Set the DTE port to use Async data by pressing the <ENTER> key followed by <5>.

5.    Press <ENTER>. If the screen shows “DTE HSD”, press the <ESC> key three times and move to the section below,  'Configure routing for HSD'.
6.   
Press the <ESC> key three times to exit the menus.    
7.     Select the “INCOMING CALL ROUTE” function by pressing the <FUNC> key, followed by <7>, <1>.

8.    Press <ENTER>. Use the up and down arrow keys until the screen shows “ASYNC DATA”  

9.    Deactivate async speed data by pressing; <ENTER>, <1>, <ENTER>, <ENTER>
10. Press <ESC> three times to revert to IDLE.   

 

Configure Routing for HSD

1.    Select the “INCOMING CALL ROUTING” function by pressing the <FUNC> key, followed by <7>, <1>.

2.    Use the up and down arrow keys until the screen shows “DTE” at the top by pressing the <ENTER> key, followed by <LIST>.

If it never shows this, then scroll down to the last item on the list which is indicated by the word “END” at the bottom of the screen.
3.    Activate routing by pressing the <ENTER> key, followed by <5>, <ENTER>

4. Press <ESC> three times to revert to IDLE.   

 

Enabling the High Speed Data Service

1. Enter function 89 - Enhanced Setup by pressing the <FUNC> key, followed by <8>, <9>.

2. Scroll through the list of choices to the HSD option by pressing the <ENTER> key, followed by <LIST>. If it is PASSWORD PROTECTED refer to (Renter/Owner level) in Operator's Manual.

3. Activate the HSD function by pressing the <ENTER> key, followed by <1>.

4. Specify SETUP level to operator by pressing the <ENTER> key, followed by <4>.

5. Specify UPDATE level by pressing the <ENTER> key, followed by <4>.

6. Verify settings by pressing the <ENTER> key.

7. Revert back to idle by pressing the <ESC> three times.   

Configure the High Speed Data Service

1. Enter function 85 - High Speed Data Configuration by pressing the <FUNC> key, followed by <8>, <5>.

2. Select ACCESS_MODE:
0 = v.25bis
1 = manual dial
2 = Hotline

Press  <ENTER> key, followed by <1> or <2> or <3>

3. Select BIT_RATE to 64kbps by pressing the <ENTER> key, followed by <7>.

4. Specify MAX_CONNECT for 30 minutes by pressing the <ENTER> key, followed by <30>.

5. Specify the Originating ID supplied with your IMM number, by pressing the <ENTER> key, followed by <??>, ??= Originating ID, e.g. 65.33

6. Select response mode, AUTO_ANSWER to on, by pressing the <ENTER> key, followed by <2>.

7. Select clearing, CLEARSIGNAL to auto, by pressing the <ENTER> key, followed by <1>.

8. Press <ESC> three times to revert to IDLE.   

 

HSD Dialing Features

Manual Dial

1. Lift the handset and wait for the standard dial tone.
2. Enter *25*64#  for a 64K call through the default LES.
3. Enter the subscriber number within 45 seconds.
4. Press #.

Hot Dial

1.     Select the “Short number List” function by pressing the <FUNC> key, followed by <1>, <0>.

2.     Key in a new short number by pressing the <ENTER> key followed by  <9>, <9>.

3.    Use the default LES or select another LES e.g. EIK no. 4 by pressing the <ENTER> key followed by  <9>, <ENTER>

4.    Press <ENTER>. Key in the digits <0>, <0> followed by the country code, area code and local number of your ISDN Server, e.g.  <0>, <0>, <3>, <5>, <3> , <1>, <6>, <0>, <6>, <2>, <0>, <0>, <0>

5.    Key in full name by pressing the <ENTER> key followed by  <5>, <2>, <7>

6.    Store short number list data by pressing the <ENTER> key.

7.    Press <ESC> three times to revert to IDLE.   

 

KlasHopper 200

KlasHopper 200 (RS-232, DB-25 interface) connects any Windows PC to a Nera Saturn B.  Use standard PC applications over satellite links.
